- Hair Brushes
- Sectioning Grips
- Hairdryer
- Water spray
- Mousse or Root Booster
- Curling Tongs
Method:
- To begin, spritz the hair with water and apply a mousse or root boosting product
- Section off the hair and beginning at the nape of the neck, dry using a hair dryer with a nozzle, working with a round blow drying brush or a denman brush (a brush with vents)
- Lift up the hair with the brush, holding the dryer against it, aiming upwards for maximum lift
- Alternate between drying above and below, rotating so not to burn the scalp
- Make small turns with the brush as you move down the hair, when you come to the end, shape the hair towards the front or back
- The ends of the hair are the most damaged and therefore require the least amount of heat
- Finally, curl the ends of the hair with curling tongs and back comb small sections from mid length upwards to create lift.
